Spring Dale College, Indira Nagar, celebrated its 55th Founder’s Day on January 14, an event marked every year with garlanding of founders’ statue and soulful melodic prayers sung by the entire staff.
This occasion honours the founder’s vision of promoting holistic education and preparing students for a bright future. The day also reaffirms the Institution’s commitment to nurturing compassionate, responsible citizens who will contribute towards a harmonious society.
‘Roshni’ – The annual children’s festival was celebrated on December 24, 2024 to mark the birth anniversary of our founder mother Mrs. Krishna Sood.
A special assembly was organized where our Vice Principal Mrs.Shoma Banerjee spoke about her and the theme for ‘Roshni’ 2024 – ‘I have a dream’ was shared with the students. After this Mrs. Anubha the granddaughter of our founder Mother along with her daughter garlanded our founders and the students of Pre-Primary offered the flowers. The event continued with various activities conducted in the campus including innovative art work and creative write-ups. This festival provided a platform to the students to showcase their talent. It was wonderful to see the students participating in this event enthusiastically.
Class Presentation of Nursery
The class presentation of class Nursery A was held on the theme ‘FESTIVALS – UNITING HEARTS’. The objective of the presentation was to highlight the importance of festivals which makes our life colourful and charming. India being a land of different culture still there is unity in diversity which promotes the feeling of communal harmony. As it is rightly said-
“अनेकता में एकता ही हमारी शान है,
इसलिए मेरा भारत महान है।“
The class presentation of class Nursery B was held on the theme ‘MOTHER’. The objective of the presentation was to shoe love and respect for our mothers who make our world beautiful. Children entertained everyone by presenting a grand finale dance on the song- ‘Maa.. Meri Maa…Pyaari Maa…Mumma’. The program ended with showing love and affection to their mothers with a thank you song and by giving handmade hearts.
The class presentation of class Nursery C was held on the theme ‘FATHER’. The objective of the presentation was to highlight the imperative role of a father in a family. Each and every child gave their best possible performance to convey a heartfelt thanks to their loving fathers for being a strong support system 24*7 for their families.
Lakshya na ojhal hone paye… unleash your potential..is what every student can relate with and was hence an apt theme for the Annual Sports Day of Spring Dale College held on December 7, 2024 at KD Singh Babu stadium.
The meet was set open by the chief guest Mr Kirit Rathore DIG PAC Lucknow. He took the salute of the elegantly presented March Past. The gracefully done aerobics ,the well coordinated mass drill and the courageous pyramid formation enthralled the audience.
The neck to neck competition by the enthusiastic participants of the races kept the viewers glued to their seats. The grand finale was a rhythmic culmination of the days event.
The coveted Star Player trophy was awarded to Samriddhi Singh of the Kanpur Road branch for her outstanding performance in the field of sports. Hope house was adjudged the best performer.
The celebrations began with a special morning assembly. This was followed by songs and skit where the teachers showcased their talents to entertain the students, bringing smiles to their faces.
It concluded with a heartfelt speech by the Principal, who emphasized the importance of children in shaping the future of our nation and shared the theme for Universal Children’s Day 2024 “For every child, every right.” This theme emphasizes the importance of ensuring that all children have access to their fundamental rights, including education, healthcare, protection, and a safe environment.
The Krishna Sood Memorial Musical Theatre competition was held on October 21, 2024 at Sant Gadge Auditorium, Lucknow. Around 10 eminent schools of the city participated in the competition.
The Inter School Musical Theatre brought together talented young performers from various Schools to celebrate the art of musical theatre. The event aimed to honour the legacy of Krishna Sood a passionate advocate for the performing arts and provided a platform for students to show case their creativity and skills in front of an enthusiastic audience.
The event started with a beautiful prayer dance and welcome by the Director of the Institution Mrs Rita Khanna who shared memories of Krishna Sood and emphasized the importance of integrating arts and education .
Each school presented a unique musical performance reflecting the theme ‘Diverse threads, One tapestry’.
Each presentation was a vibrant exploration of music and drama with students showcasing their talent in acting singing and dancing. Notable input performance was presented by students of the host School. The judges comprising experienced theatre professionals and educators; Mr Gopal Sinha, Mr Puneet Asthana and Doctor NavSharan Singh evaluated the performances based on criteria such as creativity ,stage presence, vocal ability and choreography.
Each participant gave their best and celebrated the geographical social and cultural diversity of India and the winners were St. Joseph’s Montessori, Seth M.R Jaipuria & St. Joseph’s College.
