The basketball courts of Spring Dale College were a scene of intense competition and high spirits as the school hosted the prestigious B.S. Sood Memorial Inter-School Basketball Championship. The tournament, held in memory of the visionary Sir B.S. Sood, brought together the finest young athletes from across the region to showcase their skill, speed, and teamwork.

The event commenced with a warm welcome by Director Spring Dale Institutions Reeta Khanna, who greeted the participating students and coaches. In her address, she highlighted the importance of grit and grace under pressure, urging the players to carry the spirit of healthy competition beyond the court. She noted that such platforms are essential for nurturing the sporting talent of the youth.

After two days of gruelling matches and exceptional displays of athleticism, the tournament reached its thrilling conclusion. In the Boys’ category, the final match kept the spectators on the edge of their seats until the final whistle, where RAJ KUMAR ACDEMY emerged as the winning team, while SPRING DALE COLLEGE INDIRA NAGAR secured the runner-up position.

The Girls’ category was equally competitive, featuring remarkable tactical play. The championship title was bagged by LA MARTINIER with SPRING DALE INDIRA NAGAR finishing as the valiant runner-up team.

The closing ceremony saw the distribution of trophies and certificates to the participants. The school management praised the dedication of the physical education department for organising an event that successfully honoured the legacy of Sir B.S. Sood through the power of sport.
