To mark the birth anniversary of the legendary hockey wizard Major Dhyan Chand, marking it as the National Sports Day on August 29, the Kanpur Road Branch conducted a special assembly dedicated to his memory and contributions to Indian sports.

A mass drill was conducted with the secondary students symbolising unity, teamwork and spirit of sportsmanship. The programme inspired the students to develop a sense of respect for sports and to imbibe his values of dedication, teamwork, resilience and excellence in their own lives.

At the Gomti Nagar Branch, the programme began with a special assembly where the significance of the day was shared followed by a sports trivia quiz conducted by the school head boy and head girl.

Students and staff took the National Sports Day Pledge administered by the Sports Captain. There was a session on the importance of healthy lifestyle
choices followed by a day interspersed with interclass tug of war and kho-kho
competition in which the children participated enthusiastically in keeping with this year’s campaign theme “Ek Ghanta Khel Ke Maidaan Mein!!”, which
encourages everyone to devote at least one hour daily to physical activity.

The day was observed with sincerity and fun keeping alive the words of Sir Dhyan Chand that champions keep playing until they succeed.

At the Indira Nagar Branch, the day began with a special assembly where students highlighted the importance of sports in life. Well-crafted charts on the theme of health and fitness were displayed by the students. The Sports faculty, delivered an inspiring speech on physical fitness and motivated students to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Health tips were shared, and an exercise session was conducted during the assembly to encourage active participation. Students also played different sports, showcasing their enthusiasm and energy. A pledge was taken by the students to become physically and mentally strong and to follow the values of discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The celebration not only paid homage to the hockey wizard Major Dhyan Chand but also reminded everyone of the importance of sports and fitness in daily life.

We take pride and celebrate the outstanding performance of our students at the CISCE Regional Skating Championship 2025. The young skaters displayed speed, skill, and determination, bringing laurels to the school with multiple medals across categories.

On the auspicious morning of 15th August, Spring Dale College, Kanpur road branch came alive with patriotic fervour as we gathered to celebrate the Independence Day of our great nation.

Following the flag hoisting, the day proceeded with an inspirational speech by the Head Boy, highlighting the significance of this historic day and the responsibilities it entrusts to the youth of our country. The spirit of patriotism further was elevated by a soul-stirring patriotic song and address by the Principal, Director and other members of the Management. The celebration concluded with the collective singing of “Sare Jahan Se Achcha”, after which the assembly was gracefully dispersed, carrying forward the essence of freedom, unity, and national pride.

At the Indira Nagar Branch, Students of Class III presented a vibrant patriotic dance, filling the atmosphere with pride and joy. Heart-touching patriotic songs were sung by the school choir, adding to the spirit of the occasion. Addressing the gathering, our Director, Mrs. Khanna, spoke about the courage, resilience, and rich culture of India, urging students to cherish and uphold the nation’s values. Our Principal, Mrs. Khurana highlighted the significance of Independence Day and reminded everyone of the sacrifices made for India’s freedom. The celebration concluded with a renewed sense of pride and responsibility among students and staff towards the nation.

At the Gomti Nagar branch with zeal and patriotism. The program began with flag hoisting and the National Anthem. Cultural events were presented by students, and the school choir sang a patriotic song. The Director addressed the gathering, reminding students of their duties as responsible citizens.
