The hobby clubs in SDC are a platform for the children to hone their talents. Involvement in these clubs is important for team work and making children more responsible. All activities in these clubs are supervised and are organized in such a way that students can be monitored.
Students have the option to choose any of the clubs as per their choice and interest. The various clubs are –
The Eco & Health Clubis founded with the sole aim of making the children aware about the environmental issues in today’s scenario and the steps one should follow to make the Earth a better place to live for the coming generation.
Children make use of old newspaper and other recyclable material to create items like pen / pencil holders, wall hangings, bird feeders, etc. Enactment of skits is also done during the assembly time to make children aware about the importance of eating healthy food and the young health ambassadors brief the students about how to conserve our natural resources and be compassionate towards animals.

Science and G.K. Club– The purpose of this club is to bring out the scientific temper of the students. Surprisingly the members are not just the academically bright students but the average ones who have a scientific bend and they come out with really crazy ideas. In the past years the students have come up with innovative models from waste material.
Literary Club is one of the most sought after clubs in our campus. It helps students enhance their vocal and creative thinking skill, which sets it apart from the usual English classroom teaching. A number of activities are designed and chalked out to not only arouse children’s interest in learning the language but also to enhance their confidence level and groom their personality.
Music & Dance Club – Members of this club have opted for instrumental music and are also learning the nuances of dance and music under the guidance of the music and dance teachers. And the students who have joined this club are not the ones who know music but they are beginners.
Sports Club– Having some sort of physical activity every day is extremely important for the overall well being of the child. Starting to be active at a young stage promotes a healthier life style. The students have the option to play any one of the games like volley ball, badminton, skating, lawn tennis, table tennis & Basket Ball. Trained coaches are hired so that children get proper guidance. This professional training has helped students to gain exposure to play in interschool sports events and some students have reached the national lever in chess and volley ball.
