“Diverse Dance Forms of India”, following the theme for this day an inspiring speech was delivered by students of Class X who beautifully articulated the significance of World Dance Day. They shared insights about how dance transcends language and cultural barriers, serving as a powerful means of expression and connection among people. Students also delivered insightful speeches on diverse Indian dance forms such as Kathak, Garba, Bharatanatyam, Thumri and Bihu, highlighting their cultural significance.
The event also featured vibrant performances that brought these dance forms to life. The celebration aimed to promote appreciation for India’s rich dance heritage and foster creativity among students, making it a memorable and educational experience.

The class presentation of class playgroup was held on February 5, 2025 at the Kanpur road campus on the theme “FRUITS & VEGETABLES”. The objective of the presentation was to make the children familiar with the names and characteristics of various fruits and vegetables.
Students introduced themselves as fruits and vegetables and danced on various rhymes related to fruits and vegetables. They also conveyed the health benefits of fruits and vegetables. They also performed on song ‘I Like To Move It’ and presented a finale song ‘Nanhe hai Nanha sa Dil’ with confidence.

Graduation Day for class XII students was organized with full fervour and joy on February 3, 2025 at the Kanpur Branch . 87 students along with their parents were present during the occasion. The Director, Mrs Reeta Khanna, addressed the gathering with her noble words of motivation and appreciation, further sharing insights on how to stay focused and organized in one’s life to achieve the goals in life and come out as a successful individual.
The Vice Principal, Mrs Shoma Banerjee anchored the event by adding on past memories and footprints that each student had left in the campus. The Principal, Ms Juliet Mary highlighted the significant qualities of the batch by identifying the students as Peacemakers, Youth of greater obedience and resilience,
Young minds with the determination to achieve goals and emerge as future leaders. The Director, Mrs Sangeeta Midha, addressed the gathering by saying how to be a man and woman of value in life.
Thereafter, the parents and students were served the high tea hosted by the Teachers community. In addition to that was the most endearing session by the teachers for their students.
Students were given a certificate of commendation highlighting the qualities which they unfolded in this campus in a period of last fifteen years. It was a true moment of pride and joy for the parents when their children received the commendation along with a personalised memento for them.

The importance of freedom and sacrifice for the Nation was told to the children by the principal through an impressive speech followed by the Preamble to the Constitution of India in Hindi.
The Investiture Ceremony of the Student Council for the academic year 2025-26 was also held with great solemnity and dignity. The Directors honoured the new office bearers with batches and sashes was conducted with high degree of earnestness and passion. The newly selected office bearers pledged to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities. They also appreciated the outgoing office bearers and congratulated the new ones. She advised them to be the role models and lead with godly wisdom. The function concluded with the patriotic song “Saare jahan se achha”. The function came to an end with distribution of sweets. May we continue celebrating it forever!

To make learning fun and an enjoyable experience we at the Kanpur road branch on September 14, 2024 organized ‘A Bagless Day’. Various activities were planned out and executed systematically, which included cooking without fire, in this students prepared aaloo chaat, behelpuri, pappu chaat, fruit chaat which helped them to learn table manners, serving etiquette, taking up responsibility and working as a team.
Origami paper dogs were made, number games using placards forming the biggest and the smallest number, searching for opposite words, punctuating sentences using the ice cream sticks. Quiz time saw the students active ,ready to recognise the pictures and answer.
Students made puppets and used it for story telling in a group, spell ‘o’ spell was conducted using the smartboard for powerpoint presentation created an ambience and feel of team competitive spirit. Children learnt through hands on model making that air exerts pressure. Quick multiplication tricks(Vedic Maths) were taught. Students enacted ईदगाह lesson and learnt dance steps on the poem song पुष्प की अभिलाषा with grace and expression. A memory game on pictures with tunes ticking away helped them to hone up their skills of recall and observations. The spoon circuit activity in which they had to balance the spoon and transfer the items helped them to improve motor coordination, hand eye movement and develop patience. Group discussions on pros and cons of technology helped students to interact with each other. Movable puzzles grouping and sharing was learnt through colour pencils and items in a box. Treasure hunting activity covering the topic prepositions was enjoyed a lot, tug of war and run search and place the ball game of edu sports saw them flexing their strength and agility. Overall the purpose of Bagless Day was achieved by their beaming happy smiles of satisfaction and the desire for more.

The class presentation of class II-A was held on August 30, 2024 on the topic ‘Kindness’. there were many programmes like skits, songs, dance, action song, poems, a demo of today’s scenario, what the children should do in their daily life and slogans. Activity for parents by Edu sports ‘Find Out Your Child’ was also conducted. The children took pledge on kindness and the programmes were concluded with grand finale song. Children spoke very well and the parents enjoyed and appreciated the programmes.
The class presentation of class II-B was held on August 31, 2024. The theme of the presentation was ‘Health is Wealth’. Skit, poems, dance ,songs, based on the importance of healthy food, exercise and cleanliness were performed. Children spoke about deep breathing and mental health to sensitise everyone about physical and mental health. Zumba dance was also performed to give the message of exercising with fun.
A class presentation was held of class II-C on September 2, 2024 on the theme ‘UDAAN- The wings of desire’. Children presented beautiful dance performances on the songs- ‘Badal Pe Pao’ and ‘Dil Ye Ziddi Hai’. Along with, Hindi poem, English poem, Hindi skit and English skit were also enacted by the students beautifully. The program was concluded with a grand finale song- ‘I can do’ sung by the whole class altogether. Parents appreciated the efforts put in by the students.

The theme of the Class III-A’s presentation was “The Climate Change.” Students explained the theme through various programs which included skit, poem, dance, song etc. as Planet protectors they gave us the message to save our planet Earth. An activity “Run and gat the ball” was also conducted for the parents to involve them.
Parents appreciated the efforts put in by the children and they were able to comprehend the message given by them. They thanked the school management and our principal for providing such opportunities to their children.
The students of Class III-B on the theme ‘GRATITUDE’ on August 23, 2024. A thought provoking speech stressing on the meaning and significance of the theme was given. A poignant Hindi poem highlighted the importance of gratitude in our lives. A skit performed by the students showcased the various things we are grateful for in our lives. It was followed by a melodious song sung by the students expressing various ways to show gratitude. Hindi skit expressed that how life changes when we are grateful for the things we have. ‘I am a gratitude monster’, a fun loving poem was recited by the students and enacted by two students disguised as monsters.
The final presentation was an energetic action song, leaving audience with a positive impact. The final song ‘Hai Dhanyawaad Un Sabko..’ was performed by the students. At the end, ‘Bursting the Balloons’ activity was conducted by the Edu sports teachers for parents.

The Kanpur Road branch celebrated 78th Independence Day with full of zeal and enthusiasm, where school management , teachers, students and other staff members paid tribute to the nation and freedom fighters of India. It is a remarkable day when we honour and respect to our brave hearts who went through blood , sweat and tears to reclaim our Independence .
The celebration started with flag hoisting by the Director Mrs. Khanna, followed by the national anthem and ‘Vande Mataram’ sung by choir group.Our school principal wished everyone and highlighted the theme of the year “Developed India”.
The teacher speaker Mr. Saurabh Chauhan reminded us with the importance of the day and the resemblance of our national flag. The event also witnessed the inter house declamation competition on the theme of ‘Patriotism’. To salute this undying attitude of Indians and to embrace our spirit of freedom , children of KG class recited a poem ‘Humara Jhanda Pyaraa..’ and followed by a melodious patriotic song by choir group “Saare Jahan Se Accha, Hindustan Humara..”.
The day concluded with a vote of thanks by our school director Ma’am Khanna , where she urged the students to keep the flag of the nation flying high as the future citizens. Sweets were distributed to all the students and the staff members. The spirit of freedom was celebrated with a lot of zeal and patriotic sentiments.

Class presentation of IV-A was held on August 12, 2024
and the theme was ‘ Friendship’. Children performed with great enthusiasm and zeal. In the presentation, two songs and a skit along with one English poem was performed. Parents were happy and appreciated the programme.
Class presentation of IV B was held on August 13, 2024 and the
theme was ‘ Virtues of Life’ which included honesty, discipline ,perseverance and unity.. Children recited English and Hindi poems. Melodious jingles on honesty was followed by a small skit on unity. The show stopper Wellerman’s Sailor song mesmerized and captured the attention of the parents.

Children came in blue colour dress along with a blue colour cut out. Blue colour objects were shown to them.
A group activity was conducted in which aquarium was made with the help of thumb printing to make colourful fishes. Cut out of whale was given as a take away gift.

“Helping one person might not change the whole world, but it could change the world for one person.” We took the initiative of donating things of everyday use to underprivileged people in the slum areas with the help of Robin Hood Army to inculcate the feeling and habit of doing acts of kindness among students. The teachers as well as the students have donated various items for a charitable cause.
This created a huge impact in student’s mind and had the learning experience in understanding virtues of charity, sympathy and empathy.
Our school also took
the initiative of donating things of everyday use like grocery, sanitary items, stationery, etc. to underprivileged children of Bal Sadan as an act of kindness. Student’s charity towards Bal Sadan helps provide essential resources and support for the children’s education and well-being. Their contributions foster a sense of community and social responsibility.
A small group of students along with the teachers Mrs. Parminder Narang and Mr. Nilesh Singh went for this charitable cause to Bal Sadan. Students of Bal Sadan had an interaction with our students and teachers where they shared about the challenges they face and how they spend their time.

The awareness week culminated on Day 7 with paying tribute to our beloved founders Mr. B.S. Sood and Mrs. Krishna Sood by our Directors Mrs. Reeta Khanna and Mrs. Sangeeta Midha along with all teaching and non- teaching
staff members. This followed by all religion prayer to give respect to every religion and to foster the unity and brotherhood among the students.
Our Vice-Principal Mrs. Shoma Bannerjee spoke a few words in the memory of Sir B.S. Sood on his thirteth death anniversary. She also reminded us with our founder’s contributions towards the achievements and accomplishments marked by Spring Dale College.
The event was followed by a melodious song “STUTI GAAN” sung by the school choir group and beautifully composed by Mr. Aditya Mishra. Our Director Mrs. Reeta Khanna inspired students to use mobile phones wisely so that it should not harm their mental and physical health . she once again reminded us with the importance of the theme this year.
A full-week program dedicated in the memory of our founders has shown a profound and lasting impact on our students and an attempt to sensitise our students towards a social cause was helpful in shaping young minds.

The ongoing awareness week and its theme is to remind that social media is not the real life and almost everything will work even if we unplug ourselves from it and remain undistracted.
The philosopher Paul Virilo had said, “When you invent ship you also invent a shipwreck” which gives a message to students to say focussed.
To create awareness, a session was conducted with the parents of tiny tots and class I students on the rising health issues due to excessive screen time in children of very young age.
The guest speaker, Dr. Siddhant Kumar and Mr. Yaduvesh Chaturvedi from UMEED, the rehabilitation centre, Lucknow discussed about the problems that parents are noticing in their children and how it is adversely impacting their mental health. He also gave some important tips like limiting the screen time, creating screen free zones especially during meals and before bedtime, involving children more in physical activities etc.
The session was overall fruitful as it has emphasised on the important concerns that people are facing nowadays with the excessive usage of technology and social media and making our lives miserable.
Another day we began with an eloquent and inspiring speech by the teacher speaker Mr. A.V Prasad who once again enlightened the theme of the Awareness Week “The Fascinating Digital World… Is it all sunshine?” He emphasised on the fact that digital technologies can be blessing and can bring good things if it is used by an abled man wisely.
He also highlighted the various adverse impacts an individual can face by using mobile phones excessively which affects their sleeping pattern and deteriorating their mental and physical health. He concluded that human attitude and positive mindset towards the technological world can make it all sunshine. It is in our hands how we use it.
To make students of class IV to IX aware of the cybercrime and consequences different act of criminal offences were shared by the guest speakers Adv. Manmeet Singh and practising lawyer Ms. Harsh Chauhan they talked about the various unauthorised application and link which should not be used by the students, in order to avoid the future consequences and to act lawfully and not to take revenge on others. “Think before you act”.
On day 6, the teacher speaker Mrs. Ruchi Chand threw light on the theme that highlighted on both positive and negative aspects of digital technology and its impacts on our lives. She made students aware of diverse opportunities of the digital world and also the threats and the negative consequences caused due to the advancement of technology. During the morning assembly, students of class XI and XII had an enlightening discussion on the topic “DIGITAL WIZARDRY AS THE SIXTH ELEMENT OF NATURE” under the guidance of Mrs. Neeta Mitra and Mrs. Anju Ahuja where they depicted that through the knowledge of computer language one can carry out things beyond the human power of creating an artificial world.
To make students of class X to XII aware about the importance of cyber safety and the consequences of various forms of cyber crime, an interactive session was held by the guest speakers Mr. Maharshi Agnihotri, a resource person from 1090 and UNICEF and Dr. Swarnima Singh a renowned social activist briefed students about certain untouched topics like good touch or bad touch, mental and physical harassment, cyber bullying and many more. They also guided them with the preventive measures and various helplines with which students can prevent themselves against such crimes and to ensure cyber safety.
