At Spring Dale Institution, we follow the path that we preach. We strive hard to contribute to our immediate society and environment. We have taken many steps in this direction. The salient ones are mentioned below:
Santript- Sharing Food
January 14, 2020, the Golden Jubilee year of the Spring Dale Institutions was just not a culmination of the year-long celebration but also the beginning of yet another initiative “Santript – Sharing food”. Working on the path set by our founders’ ideology of giving back to the society what we get from it, this idea of sharing food for the needy was mooted.
To begin with, students of all three branches went to the nearby slum areas to distribute food/gift hampers. The smile on the students’ face and the children who received the hampers gave a sense of great satisfaction. All staff members and the helping staff of all three branches bring food packets on alternate Saturdays. The neatly packed homemade food is reached out to the needy and underprivileged people in collaboration with the “Robin Hood Army”. In due course of time students will also be joining in this initiative. Sharing food is the greatest deed one can do, with this thought we keep moving on to reach out to more people so that no one goes to sleep hungry.
______
Rain Water Harvesting: All three branches of SpringDale have rain water harvesting infrastructure. The rain water that is harvested is used to recharge the ground water table.
Solar power: The School has invested in Solar Power, by installing cells and panels on the roof of the buildings to alternate the energy utilised for the street lights and electricity consumed in the building during the off-school hours.
Go Green Paperless initiatives: Realizing the need to reduce paper, as a Go Green initiative, we at Spring Dale are taking many measures. The ERP module, where we encourage students to work and submit their homework and do other correspondence, is one such initiative which reduces the need to use paper. In the next academic session we have plans to introduce E-brochures and E-Magazines, which will further help in reducing the use of paper and help save many a trees.
