Roshni – An annual children’s festival

013The angel not for one but many – Ma’am Krishna Sood’s Birthday which is celebrated as ‘Roshni’ – A childrens’ festival is a platform to bring together the creative instincts of the children. A special assembly was conducted on 21st December for the celebrations. The assembly was dedicated to the powerful women who have made a mark in different fields, like Mother Teresa, Kiran Bedi etc. A skit enacted and penned by the middle school children was also presented. The highlight of the assembly was the choreography presented on the song ‘ Houslon ki samundar…’

015The various activities like Wish cards, art, craft, story writing, poster and collage making were all a depiction of the theme ‘If I were an Angel. It was a pleasure witnessing the enthusiasm showed by every Spring Dalian. It was indeed a befitting reverence to our founder Mother.

With a belief that every individual has a creative instinct , the children’s imagination was given a platform on 21st December 2016 to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of the Founder Director Ma’am Krishna Sood with the children’s festival ‘ROSHNI ‘ to unleash the creativity of the students .

                           The day began with a special assembly . Salutation and homage was paid by garlanding Madam Sood’s portrait . All the children from P.G to class XII had an eventful day where various activities were organised to recreate inspirit the wish and desire of Ma’am Sood .dsc04531


                       Students of class XI portrayed themselves as some well known women personalities like – Mother Teresa , Kiran Bedi , Sutapa Sanyal, Kiran Majumdar Shah, Chanda Kochhar etc. acknowledging and depicting the unmistaken power of the women .It was worth witnessing the enthusiasm of the playgroup playing with colors and enjoying colouring on the Theme – ‘I AM AN ANGEL AND…….’Children of class 1,2 ,3 scratched their brains to put the clues drawn on the board by their teachers to give wings to the theme.


                           Children of classes 4th to 6th exhibited their imagination by narrating a story pictographically .The seniors gave wings to their imagination by making posters , working science models and being teck savvy with the mindboggling powerpoint presentations. It was a treat to the eyes to see the creativity of the children being depicted in various forms. There was an aura of festivity all around . It was the best way to salute and pay homage to our Founder Mother Ma’am Sood.


Kanpur Road Branch

dsc03080 dsc03118Spring Dale College, Kanpur Road Branch celebrated 21st December as ‘ROSHNI’ to mark the birth anniversary of the founder of Spring Dale Institutions Late. Ma’am Krishna Sood. A special assembly was conducted to commemorate the achievements of Ma’am Sood specially as a woman. The theme taken for assembly was ‘Women Empowerment’.
The assembly began with the lighting of the lamp and garlanding of the portrait of Late. Ma’am Sood followed by the school choir and the staff lenting their melodious voice to songs, knoen to be her favourite including the song written by her ‘Pujan Aaye hai pita Sanmukh tere aas se.’  A melloflous rendition of songs on ‘Ma’ by a group of students moved many to tears. A speech on ‘Women Empowerment’ was delivered by staff members followed by a short enactment highlighting the importance of ‘girl education’.
